Picture from an Einsatzgruppen soldier’s personal album, labelled on the back as “Last Jew of Vinnitsa, it shows a member of Einsatzgruppe D is just about to shoot a Jewish man kneeling before a filled mass grave in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, in 1941. All 28,000 Jews from Vinnitsa and its surrounding areas were massacred at the time.
RWANDA. 1994. The remains of Rwandan refugees who were slaughtered at the parish of Nyarubuye. Over 1000 refugees were shot and hacked to death by Hutu “interahamwe” militia at Nyarubuye. Their bodies remained undiscovered for 44 days.
This is my second tattoo! It was done at the same place where my first tattoo was, Electric City Tattooing in Scranton, PA. I am a huge fan of Henry David Thoreau and this one of my favorite quotes by him!
